Placing a print in a bathroom
Our prints are made for dry rooms, and paper and canvas don't like damp. A cloakroom or a downstairs toilet, with little steam, is the safest place to start. In a main bathroom, choose one that stays well ventilated and hang the print away from the shower and the bath.
Calm seascapes
Open Water and Sea Fret are the calmest pieces we make: soft horizons and pale, misty water. The Cove adds a little green. Their colours sit close to white tiles and pale paint, so they settle into a small room without fighting the rest of it.
Beach and seaside
Beach Huts, Rock Pools and Low Sun bring a day at the beach indoors. More are in our beach prints. Bright huts and sand colours suit a family bathroom, where they lift a plain white suite and give children something to look at.
Nautical details
For nautical bathroom decor, start with Mooring Buoys, Rope and Cleat, Compass Rose or Signal Flags. They are close, simple pictures that suit a small wall. See all our nautical prints.
Lighthouses
Rock Light and Headland Light are the calmest of our lighthouse prints, both on still water. A lighthouse gives a small wall one strong upright shape, which suits the narrow space beside a mirror or above a towel rail.
Sizes for a bathroom
Most bathroom walls are small. A3 or A2 suits the space above a towel rail or a toilet. A pair of A3 prints, one above the other on a narrow wall, works well. Measure the space and allow room around the frame. Our print sizes guide shows each size.
Bathroom art as a gift
A calm sea picture is an easy present for someone redecorating. See our nautical gifts for more.
