About this print
A white lighthouse with a copper lantern stands on a green headland, with the keeper's cottage tucked beside it under a grey slate roof. Patches of rust-coloured bracken break up the grass, and the sea below is calm and pale. Most of the picture is a big, soft sky full of cloud, painted with a thick, buttery brush.
It's tall and calm, so it suits a hallway, a landing or a bedroom. It works well for someone who has walked a coast path to a lighthouse like this, or who stays in a converted keeper's cottage on holiday.
The thick paint marks show beautifully on canvas, where the light catches the texture. A framed poster in natural wood keeps the soft colours fresh. A2 or 40x50 cm is a good size for a hallway wall, and it pairs well with a second lighthouse print hung beside it.
For a pair, hang it next to First Light, which has the same white tower feel at dawn.
