About this print
A big grey-backed gull stands on top of an old wooden harbour post covered in barnacles. Behind it, a fishing boat and some masts sit in soft grey light. The gull looks straight out of the picture, as if waiting for chips.
It has a bit of humour, so it suits a kitchen, a hallway or a seaside holiday home. It's a good gift for anyone who loves a harbour town and its noisy gulls.
The fine feathers and the rough post look good as a framed poster. Canvas gives the post more texture. It's tall; A3 fits beside a door and A2 suits a wall of its own.
Grey, white and soft blue walls suit it. For a seaside set, add Pier End, with its gulls on the pier rail, or Crab Boats. It makes a light-hearted housewarming present for someone moving to the coast. Keep the frame simple so the gull stays the star of the picture.
