About this print
A pebble beach curves away into a misty distance, with small waves breaking on the stones. An old wooden groyne runs out into the sea. Groynes are the low timber walls built out from a beach to slow the drift of sand and shingle along the shore. The light is soft and grey, the kind you get on an English beach in spring.
It will feel familiar to anyone who grew up near a shingle beach on the south or east coast. It's calm, and it suits a hallway, a sitting room or a bedroom.
The pebbles are painted in small dabs of colour, and a framed poster keeps them crisp. Canvas gives a softer, misty feel. Choose 50x70 cm for a main wall, or A3 for a smaller space such as above a desk.
It suits grey, stone and pale blue walls. For a pair, Sea Fret has the same soft, misty light, and Windbreaks brings in a sandier beach day.
