About this print
A brig sails across a pale pink dawn. A brig has two masts, both carrying square sails, and this one is seen side on, small against a wide sky. The sea in front of you is dark and rolling, and the light behind her turns everything soft and rosy.
Most of this picture is sky, which makes it calm and spacious. It suits a bedroom, a landing or a sitting room. It's a lovely gift for someone with a love of old ships who likes a softer picture on the wall.
The pink sky looks smooth and even as a framed poster. Canvas brings out the rolling water at the bottom. 50x70 cm or larger lets the sky open out.
It looks best on soft pink, cream or pale grey walls. For a pair, Homeward Bound shows a square-rigger in warm sunset light, so you get morning and evening. A pair like that works well either side of a bed or a window. Hang them with the same gap above and below.
