About this print
A stone lighthouse stands alone on a rock while heavy waves break white around its base. The lantern at the top is lit, the sky is dark grey with one pink gap low on the horizon, and spray is flying up the side of the tower. It's all weather and drama, painted in thick strokes of grey, cream and rust.
This is the one for someone who likes a wild day on the coast, and it holds its own on a darker wall: a study, a dining room, or a room painted navy or deep green. It's tall, so a narrow chimney breast or the space between two windows suits it.
The heavy brushwork in the waves is the best part, and canvas shows it off. A framed canvas in black looks strong against a dark wall. Go to A2 or 50x70 cm if you can; the storm needs some size to feel big.
