About this print
A classic yacht heels hard as she sails close to the wind, with one person at the helm. Beating to windward means sailing as close as you can toward the wind, zigzagging to make ground. Her varnished hull shows as she leans, white water runs along her side, and green hills rise behind her.
It's tall and full of effort, so it suits a study, a hallway or a gym room. It's a great present for someone who races, or anyone who has hung on to a tiller on a lively day.
The white sails against the dark hills look sharp as a framed poster. Canvas gives more texture to the spray. A3 fits a narrow wall; A2 gives the sails more height.
Grey-green, white and navy walls suit it. For a pair, add Spinnaker Run to show the downwind leg as well. Anyone who sails will know which one they prefer. For a gift, it says you know how much they love being out on the water, even when it's hard work.
